Built for the night before
These are generators, not templates. You paste a word list — this week's spellings, a vocabulary set, the names of everyone at the party — and get back a finished worksheet with an answer key. No account, no download of a document you then have to edit, no watermark.
Which one for which job
- Word search is the reliable filler: it works for any list, any age, and takes as long to solve as you want depending on grid size and whether you allow diagonals and backwards words.
- Word scramble tests recall rather than recognition, so it is the harder of the two for the same list — better as revision than as a first encounter.
- Missing letters targets spelling specifically. Blanking vowels tests phonics; blanking consonant clusters tests the patterns that actually trip learners up.
- Hangman words and the random word generator are for the spoken games — warm-ups, transitions, the last five minutes of a lesson.
Printing
Every generator strips the site furniture when you print: no navigation, no footer, no coloured backgrounds eating your toner. The answer key sits on its own page so you can print page one twenty-five times and page two once.
Nothing is saved
The lists you paste stay in your browser and are gone when the tab closes. That is deliberate — it is why none of this needs an account — but it does mean you should print or copy the result before navigating away.
